PLACC CDEP PROGRAM

As of the 30th June, 2007, the Federal Govt abolished the PLACC CDEP Program and W.W. Indigenous Employment Centre.

CHANGES TO PLACC OFFICES

We are currently painting and redesigning the reception area at the Administration Office. Work should be completed around February 2009.

TUNARAMA QUEST ENTRANT 2008/9
Ms. Desarae Clements has entered the Tunarama Quest.  She is being sponsored by Port Lincoln Aboriginal Health Service and with some support from PLACC and Mallee Park Social Club.  Desarae is raising funds for Diabetes SA.  Desarae is following in her mother, Maryanne Clements (Burgoyne), footstep.  Maryanne was an entrant in 1981.

LIVING BLACK   (SBS)

Recently Wanna Mar Premium Seafoods was featured on the SBS Program Living Black. A reporter visited our lease site in Boston Bay and talked to various identGo to their website and check it out.

 

BUSINESS MANAGER

PLACC has recently been granted funding so that they can employ a Business Manager to work with South Australian Indigenous Industries. (PLACC's enterprise arm.)  This position will be advertised shortly and hopefully be filled in the new year.

WANILLA  FOREST

Many hours of work has been carried out in the Wanilla Forest recently.  Tracts of dead pines have been cleared in the ongoing effort to clean the up the forest and reduce the risk of fire.
